AERODYNAMICS: With extensive testing in CFD and in our Wind Tunnel, aerodynamics was at the forefront of the Propero 4's development. We tested the Propero 4's aerodynamics with the best aerodynamic properties. We incorporated the aerodynamics of the S-Works Evade 3 directly into the Propero 4, which helped it to be four watts, or 15 seconds over 40km, faster than our S-Works Prevail 3.
VENTILATION: Inspired by our world-famous S-Works Prevail 3, our aim was not just to replicate but to elevate. Ventilation became a spearhead in our quest for a balanced, aerodynamic and ventilating helmet. We adopted the design language of the back of the S-Works Prevail 3 and introduced small 2mm offset microchannels that create turbulence in the airflow through the helmet to help create a continuous, refreshing airflow.
ATTENTION FOR DETAIL: In addition to aerodynamics and ventilation, the Propero 4 stands for meticulous attention to detail. We have gone a step further by incorporating advanced technologies from our S-Works helmets, such as MIPS technology for increased confidence and a fit system designed to provide all-day comfort. The Propero 4 doesn't just meet expectations, it redefines them.
Mips Evolve Solution is a low-friction layer that allows a glide of 10 to 15 mm in all directions. Studies show that this reduces some of the rotational forces transmitted to the brain during oblique impacts.
Propero 4 has received the highest 5-star Virginia Tech® helmet rating from the internationally renowned Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
FS3 Fit System & Occipital Base Adjustment optimises comfort by adjusting the fit to the individual shape of the head, and the angle of the helmet can be adjusted for compatibility with glasses.
